Voice Interventions

Specialist voice services are provided primarily by Krystina Stanway who has worked within the performing arts sector providing vocal coaching, acting classes and specialist speech and language therapy. She has a specialist interest in supporting good vocal projection, vocal hygiene and vocal protection.

Krystina is a registered Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist alongside being a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice and British Laryngological Association.

Voice specialist assessment and therapy is offered to individuals with voice difficulties or wanting to modify their voice.

Voice therapy aims to give the best possible outcomes for individuals by offering a professional and bespoke service, ensuring that the provision is person-centred, collaborative and goal focused.  Voice therapies are tailored to meet the needs of the individual with the aim of vocal remediation/ modification or development to be efficient, prompt and of high quality.

We offer a wide range of training, workshops and information sessions focusing on topics such as vocal hygiene, vocal protection and vocal techniques.

Specialist Voice Assessment & Therapy

We offer a range of therapy techniques that include indirect therapy (education sessions), psychological support (counselling, behaviour therapies, neurolinguistics programming) and specific voice techniques (E.g. laryngeal massage, breathing, muscle relaxation, resonance and intonation therapies).

Specialist Voice Development

We offer a range of therapy to develop vocal techniques such as: development of voice qualities, vocal projection, vocal confidence, vocal protection, extension of vocal range, restoration of singing voice and improvement of vocal delivery.

Laryngeal Massage

This is offered by our highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist, along with working collaboratively with Dan Turnell (Physiotherapist). Dan is a very experienced physiotherapist who has years of experience of working with professional singers in the West End.

Laryngeal massage is used to support with conditions such as muscle tension dysphonia, pre-nodular swelling, true vocal cord nodules and globus pharyngus. This technique is often used alongside other therapeutic techniques.
